Mrs. Walker

Hi my name is Vangie Walker, I am proud to be a Lackland Elementary Eagle! I began teaching in 2007. I come from San Antonio Independent School District. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio and graduated with my Masters degree from The University of the Incarnate Word.

I have a true passion for working with children in developing all areas of their development-academic and social. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures these areas. I love being a teacher and really can’t imagine doing anything else.

Personally, I grew up in the military life with my dad being in the Air Force for 22 years and have had the opportunity to travel around the world. I am married and have 2 amazing children. I love Asian and Mexican food, I would consider myself a bit of a foody.
