Georgina Guerrero
Hello and welcome to 1st Grade!
Here is a little about me:
I was born and raised in California. We moved to Texas when the Air Force relocated my family and me to San Antonio in 1999. I have been happily married for 25 years, and have two wonderful sons who have completed college. My eldest son graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and is now a Peace Corps Returned Volunteer in Indonesia. My youngest son graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and now an Officer in the Navy. During my freetime, I enjoy being outdoors: biking, hiking, camping, or relaxing at the beach. Some of my favorite places to visit are South Padre, Maui (HI), Oahu (HI), the great state of Alaska, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the British Bahamas, Italy, London, and Indonesia.
As a graduate of Texas A&M San Antonio University, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an ESL endorsement. I am also a graduate of Northwest Vista Community College where I earned an Associate of Arts in Teaching. I taught for three years in Pre-K and Kindergarten with Northside ISD, and have been at Lackland teaching 1st grade since 2016. Prior to being a certified teacher, I was an assistant for 13 years in Pre-K, special education, and substituted right here at Lackland Elementary. I am thrilled and very honored to be a part of this wonderful and dedicated community. Go Eagles! I am committed to making each year a productive, enriching, and wonderful experience for both you and your child. Thank you for sharing your children with me, and allowing me the opportunity to be a part of your child’s education.
