Gifted and Talented

I have been at Lackland ISD as the GT District Coordinator since 2011. I have been in education since 1996, teaching 3rd-8th grades, and 3 years as a Math Specialist, before moving into GT.

I attended UTSA for my undergraduate degree, and Texas State for my masters degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach K-8 and ESL. I have extensive experience in GT classrooms at various grade levels, and deliver professional development in gifted education. For 4 years, I instructed future teachers in the Alternative Certification Program with Texas Teaching Fellows.

I am passionate about teaching GT students..
