I grew up in a small town in Minnesota. I am the youngest of three children. I have a sister and a brother. I moved to Texas 29 years ago to teach in Brownsville. After two years, my husband, Frank, and I moved to San Antonio. I taught in Southwest ISD before moving to Lackland Elementary in 1995. My husband works at North Park Toyota, and our daughter is a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin.
I have an Associates Degree in Special Education from St. Mary's Junior College in Minneapolis (now part of St. Catherine's). I graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education. I received a Master's Degree in Special Education from Our Lady of the Lake University.
During my leisure time I like to quilt, read (my favorite genre is mysteries), garden, and watch movies.
