Mrs. Sewell
Janet Sewell
Hi! My name is Janet Sewell and I am thrilled to be a part of the Lackland Elementary Kindergarten team! More importantly, I am so excited to be one of your child’s teachers! It's going to be an amazing year full of learning and lots of new adventures. I want to know ALL about you, so I thought I would share a few things about me.
In 2015, after 25 years and countless deployments, my husband retired from the Navy and we settled in San Antonio. My family, which also includes my daughter and son, has lived all over the world from Europe to Asia and all across the United States from Hawaii to Virginia. I love to travel (Australia, Bali, France, Italy, and Japan are some of my favorites) take photographs, cook, read mystery novels, and watch British TV.
My teaching experience has been with children of all ages and abilities. I have worked as an early childhood special educator with birth to three-year-olds, a resource specialist, an inclusion specialist, a self-contained classroom teacher for students with multiple handicaps, and as a general education classroom teacher.
I am dedicated to making this year a productive, successful and WONDERFUL year. I look forward to sharing it with you and your child.
