I would like to start of by saying how honored I am to teach at Lackland Elementary and to be part of such a wonderful school and community. Most importantly, I am delighted to be your child’s first grade teacher!
To tell you a little about myself...
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I am very family oriented and spend most of my free time with family. I am the oldest of two. I have a younger brother who is currently attending UTSA and will graduate this year--Proud Sister! :) Soccer is my favorite sport and I played college soccer for a while. I am also a HUGE Spurs fan...GO SPURS GO!....I am, and have always been a bookworm and can’t wait to share my passion for books with your children.
I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Psychology. I am certified to teach both, general education and special education. I have worked with several grade levels, from elementary to high school, and I can say without a doubt that there is no other grade I would prefer teaching than first grade!
I am truly looking forward to getting to know you and your child throughout this school year, which surely promises to bring with it, many new experiences and challenges. I strongly believe that a consistent line of communication between school and home is the best way to ensure that students become successful in school and are constantly striving to achieve. Again, I am very excited about the year ahead, and look forward to having the privilege of teaching your child! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
