This is the image for the news article titled Lackland ISD Recognizes National School Nurses Day Lackland ISD has the privilege and honor of having two school nurses to support the health and wellness of our learning organization.  Mrs. Marcelle Conte and Mrs. Camille Morales are recognized as nurturing caregivers due to the individual and specialized attention they give to those of us in need.  You feel better just by walking through the door of the clinic because you know you will have the opportunity to have personal time with them.  It does not matter why you are visiting, the level of care provided is authentically loving and appropriate to the need being presented.  That is how Mrs. Conte and Mrs. Morales truly emphasize this year’s National Nurses Week theme, “Nursing: the Balance of Mind, Body, and Spirit” in their every action.  Each member of the learning organization knows that our nurses will take care of the situation no matter if the bruise or scrape is internal or external.  They give immediate attention and also share actions we should take to ensure future wellness.

The week of May 6 – 12th is recognized as National Nurses Week.  The tradition of recognizing the commitment and service of these healthcare providers dates back to 1974.  On National School Nurses Day,Wednesday, May 10th, we were pleased to share in the opportunity to show our appreciation for their genuine desire to support our health and well-being.  We know that it goes far beyond the numerous screenings, daily triages, and opportunities to administer medication.  Your wise counsel and superior care promote a lifetime of healthy living.   We appreciate our nurses and truly thank them for their loyalty to Lackland ISD.
