This is the image for the news article titled Teacher Appreciation Week This week, May 1st-5th, is recognized as National Teacher Appreciation Week.  It provides a formal opportunity for parents and administrators to show teachers and educational staff how much their work is appreciated.  At Lackland ISD, we are fortunate to have teachers and staff who are committed to going beyond routine expectations to ensure the social, emotional, and academic needs of our learners are exceeded. In a small district like ours, teachers wear many hats.  In addition to teaching core content, they also serve as academic and athletic coaches, and advisors for afterschool clubs related to an array of fine arts, STEM programs, robotics, and student leadership.

Although we can never say thank you enough for fully investing your time and talent into making this an exemplary learning organization, we are willing to try.  We hope that each teacher felt an outpouring of appreciation from the activities hosted by campus and district administrators, and our outstanding Parent, Teacher, and Student Organization.  We also hope that we can capture the essence of that sense of appreciation and reflect it each and every day.  You are appreciated!
