Q: What is the LISD attendance policy:

A: Attendance policies can be found in the 2014-2015 Parent Student Handbook under Section II (Absence, Admission, Attendance, Transfer, Withdrawals)

Q: What is the policy on absences related to parent's deployment or return from deployment?

A: There is specific form that is needed.  It can be picked up at the school office.  Documentation of deployment or return from deployment must be attached.  The policy can be found in the Handbook under Section 1: Required Notices and Information for Students and Parents. Q: Where can find an approved snack list?

A: Please check with your individual classroom teacher.

Q: What is the procedure for visiting my child during the school day?

A: The policy can be found in the handbook under the subheading: Visitors to the School.

Q: What is the procedure for celebrating my child's birthday in the classroom?

A: The policy can be found in the handbook under Celebrations and Parties.

Q: What hours is the school playground open?

A: During school hours, the playground is open for grade levels to have recess and/or PE.  Generally, after 2:30, it is open to the public unless we have a planned activity or campus testing.  It is important to note that, if there is an emergency (i.e. evacuation, exercise, or fire drill) everybody will asked to leave in or adhere to school safety guidelines.

Q: Where can I access my student's grades?

A: TX Gradebook is where parents will gain access to student grades and attendance.  Letters will go home with exact instructions sometime within the first three weeks of school.
